Who Are We?
Shining Star is an English secondary school located in the Lakeside region of Pokhara, Nepal. All subjects are taught in English except our Nepali class. Founded in 1998, the school has more than 500 students, from Kindergarten to Grade 10.
Our Vision
Our school is dedicated to helping children in Pokhara receive a quality education. With the high cost and low quality education offered in local government schools, our long-term goal is to provide free classes year-round to all of our students.
Our Current Project
We are currently building a computer lab at the school, which will be used to help our students gain familiarity with basic computer skills. This project requires a great deal of support from our community in order to be a success. Visit the 'How You Can Help' tab to learn more!
